We used it as our base to explore the Coromandel Peninsula and it was perfect. We went canyoning with Canyonz and had a blast jumping off cliffs and sliding down waterfalls. The motel itself had a sick gift shop and playground where we spent hours goofing around. And the best part was that it was right by the Hauraki Cycle Trail - we rode bikes all day and had the ultimate adventure!
The only thing we wished for was a cooler hangout spot for young party animals like us. It would've been awesome to have a common area or a bar where we could meet other young travelers and have some wild fun.

The pictures were misleading. This was a dive. The most expensive and shabby motel that we experienced in 7 weeks in NZ

our stay at the motel was excellent. the spacious and spotlessly clean units exceeded our expectations. the friendly owner was very helpful and the extra glazing on the windows made it surprisingly quiet. this will be our motel of choice from now on.
No bathroom fan.

Very welcoming staff and made sure everything was OK. Beds very nice.
Internet service worked, but a bit tricky to pick up, needs a stronger signal method.

We liked the friendly reception we got and the fact that she offered us a cheaper option which she did not have too but did as a matter of good service.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The location was great, with a pleasant area overlooking the garden. The service from the housekeeping staff was excellent, and they even provided laundry services. The room amenities were top-notch, with ironing facilities, heating, and air conditioning. We especially enjoyed the sitting area on the terrace, where we could relax and enjoy the garden views. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the electric kettle and the kitchen utensils. The television was a flat-screen, and the carpeted floor added a touch of luxury. The staff here provided great service, and we felt well taken care of.

Massive room, comfy bed, and a great view from the window. The free wifi was a lifesaver. I didn't even need to leave the room with all the entertainment options available.
Just loved hearing my neighbors' every move. It was like having a personal surround sound system!
